7 months and ongoing!!!!

She is exactly 7 months and 17 days now. We have been here in Edinburgh for the last few months, since December 2005. Weather is definitely cheering up. At least some source of vitamin D for Rachel, without going out of the house!!!!!

R has learnt the skill of throwing tantrums. It's not an easy "skill" for the parents to deal with, believe me. At 7 months, she has perfected the skill of voicing her unhappiness over the smallest "inconvenience" to her:)

Rachel has also developed stranger anxiety and separation anxiety.... I guess we should not be surprised as she is cared for by her parents only. Today, Rachel and I went out with a couple of my friends for coffee. After, one of them came home with us, to visit BC. Rachel was so cranky, and she was hanging on to either BC or myself, refusing to even sit down on the floor or crawl about as she normally does. Maybe she feels that her secured space has been invaded? Or she's just plain feeling cranky? I am now pretty worried, as we will be going to London this weekend to visit my sis. Wonder how R will fare in a different environment......mentally crossing my fingers now...

Back to happier progresses...R can now pull herself up and she has started cruising along the sofa. She has been doing this for the last 3 weeks. It's quite a big development. Mummy has backache all the time, as it's a fulltime job following R everywhere, and making sure she does not fall over....too often:) Also, she crawls from one end of the room to the other at an amazing speed as well. It's not a good idea for mummy to go to the toilet without bringing her along. At the rate she moves, she might tear down the whole house before mummy can finish her toilet business!!!!
