Sick

R has runny nose for the last 2 days. Whenever her mucous comes dribbling down from her nose, and if we are not quick in cleaning it off, she will be lapping it with her tongue! Tasty, I guess!

Her nose is all stuffed up, and she has difficulties breathing. When she nurses, she will suckle for a wee while, then come up for breath, complain, and then go back to suckling again....Poor Rachel. She hates having her temperature taken, especially with the ear thermometer and she hates it when I try to use the nasal aspirator to clear her nose. Everytime she sees those 2 gadgets, she will shake her head....cry, and wave her two hands desperately trying to say NO to us... She does this when she wants me to stop feeding her solids as well. (We notice that she is definitely trying her very best to communicate with us....with the waving hands and bobbing heads...definitely growing up!)

She is not eating as well as she should be. She wants us to carry most of the time, and she is definitely very cranky. Poor girl. This is definitely hard for us all.....hopefully this period will pass soon!
