Happy 9 months old

He is 9 months old today. Time passes so fast, it's scary. One minute they are tiny and oh-so very dependent on us and the next, they are crawling everywhere, touching everything and putting everything into their mouths... I don't understand this big fuss on BPA-free stuffs....coz like it or not, everything goes into their mouths....

Not too sure how much he weighs, but I think he did not put on much this last one month, as he is actively crawling around, cruising, pulling up on his own everywhere and heaving himself up against the furniture. He is already trying to walk by pushing all the dining chairs around. He does look more lanky and he is losing that bb fat already....

He loves rolling balls around. And he loves playing with his sister. A tad bit more whiny than Rachel at this age, he has learned how to get our attention by shouting out "eh eh eh eh" and crying out loud when we ignore him.

This boy loves bread...every morning, we give him a bits and pieces of a slice of bread and he loves munching on them. Well, he still feeds many times on my breasts. And he has 2 main meals...lunch will be pureed fruits/vege with oatmeal. And dinner will be porridge with either fish or chicken. I made him chicken porridge with squash and onions, and a boiled egg yolk today. He loved it... Mealtimes are messy, but I am not complaining, as long as he eats well:) Also, he loves munching on boiled broccoli and asparagus.

Kenneth has started playing patty-cake and clapping his hands this last month. Also, the last 2 days, he has started waving bye-bye occasionally when we do it to him... He does understand NO, but may sometimes calmly ignore me despite me yelling or shouting at him. He still drools loads, and has no teeth at all....

I am still debating on whether to wean him off breastmilk. But since I breastfed Rachel till she was 13 months, I do feel that it's fair to at least continue till he turns 1. He still wakes up a few times every nite..... I am really tired these days, as taking care of 2 kids (3 if you count the big one) alone is not an easy thing to do. My shoulder hurts everyday by 5pm and I can't function without coffee every morning.

This boy is extremely sticky to me. I do not remember Rachel being that sticky, but hubby said it was the same with Rachel. He reckons it will get better when he turns 2 years old....but that's quite some time to go!!!!! Ok I should not complain. After all, we do not plan to have a third one, and this is my last chance to enjoy such closeness with my kid.

He loves his sister loads. And everytime she heads out of the door to play with her friends in the garden, he will crawl real fast, trying to follow her out of the door. And when I do close it behind her, he will whine and make a big fuss....just for awhile....and then he will crawl over to the window to watch her play... It's really touching to see how he lights up when she comes into the house again... I hope my kids will be as close as I am with my brother and sister.

lil Ken watching Rachel play in the garden....

Well. 9 months have passed....Other than being tired, I am treasuring every moment with lil Kenneth.
