Daddy's home

After 6 weeks away, hubby is finally back from UK. What a relief. I survived the last 6 weeks alone with Rachel. Of course, I did get a lot of help from both our parents, but then.....it's still a big feat for me.
Rachel has definitely grown up a lot since her daddy left for UK. Her biggest milestone is yet to be her starting to walk. If i were in hubby's shoes, I would have been devastated for missing out on the start of such a big development. HOWEVER, if he were to go through what we went through during the "start-to-walk" stage, he might have been glad that he was not around! With all the "heart-dropping" moments and "scare-me-to-lotsa-white-hair" moments, when Rachel falls or tumbles down or knocks into corners/furnitures...etc......I would have preferred to be ignorant to all these moments!
Rachel can walk steadily now, with occasional fumbles. She has graduated to walking up stairs or steps. Well, she is definitely learning the trick to doing that. Yesterday, she started to stamp her feet while walking around.....not too sure what she is trying to achieve though.... For the last couple of days, Rachel (who has always been talkative), has been saying a lot of "dadadadada....dahhhhh"....
She was VERY excited to see my parents when they came to visit. She started yakking away loudly at them, the moment she saw them..... I guess for my parents, this definitely makes the 2hour drive very worthwhile!!!!! As for her Daddy, she was a bit sceptical when she saw him....but took a short time to warm up to him....hubby can definitely see a big difference in her......he said she has definitely grown up a lot the last 6 weeks!
