Rachel in School

Some time last year, we had some problems leaving Rachel at school. She would bawl and weep and refuse to go to school. Then, we found out that one of her schoolmates hit her, and she was scared to go to school again. Spoke to the teacher, and she got the schoolmate to say sorry to Rachel and she was all ok again.

For the last 2 weeks, we were having the same problem with Rach again. Initially, I thought it was because I have been spending less time with her, with Ken's arrival. And she has been all whiny and has been throwing tantrums as well... She has been really gloomy in school since CNY, and her teacher even called me 2x to discuss about it. Imagine how guilty I felt, as I thought it was my fault. Then, today, we discovered that it was because another boy in school bullied her. Same case as previously. So, today, I will have to talk to her, so that she won't feel scared to go to school on Monday again. Hope her teacher helped to pacify her as well....

Oh, I did ask the teacher whether Rach has a tendency of bullying people. Her teacher said Rach is very gentle with others. Am so glad. Hope she won't learn all these bullying habits from the other kids. I am not going to chastise the children who bullies, or their parents. I know that sometimes, we can't control all these habits. I am just so glad that Rach is not one of them. Let's hope this continues, and Ken will also turn out fine like Rach....
