Kenneth is 4 months old

Kenneth turned 4 months old yesterday.

And as of the day before, he did his first big one in the potty!!!!

As per my blog before this, the doctor monitored his development progress, and so far he is fine. Doctor has given me the green light to start him on solids. But I have decided to hold on to that for another 2 weeks.

Kenneth is now 8.6kg at 4 months old. He is at the highest percentile.

If he is in a good mood, he can sit unsupported for at least 5-10 mins.

Yesterday night, he surprised me by picking up his rattle on his own, when he was sitting on his highchair!!!!

And yes. he is using the potty for his big business now:) He seldom poos in the pampers, unless desperate.

He drools loads... the front of his clothes are always wet. and you can see a trickle of saliva from his mouth nearly all the time.

When placed on his cot, he can reach out and hold at least one side of the cot barriers.

He loves to hold on to a fist of my hair when I am carrying him. And when Rachel is playing with him, he loves to pull her hair as well. (I can hear Rachel screaming now, with him pulling at her hair)

He is quite choosy when breastfeeding. He chooses the breast with more milk flow only when he is hungry. When he is not, he will make a big fuss when put on that breast, until I change him to the other breast. I guess the breast with less milk flow is a comfort zone for him.

He can only lie down underneath his gym mat for long, when he is in a good mood. Normally, this happens in the morning. Otherwise, he will make a big fuss.

He loves being bjorn-ed around. He will stop crying when he sees me strapping on the baby carrier and start giggling and laughing.

He is ticklish. He laughs real loud when we tickle him

And at 4 months old, he has a great admirer already...Rachel calls him Handsome Boy:)

you only start serious feeding after 6 months, but it's good to start letting them taste solids before that. hahahahahaha....

So Kenneth already is potty trained at 4 months? Are you serious???? How did you do that???? Belle cry whenever you force her to sit on her potty...and she can only poop well standing up...very unladylike!

Juli: Hahahaha.....I can't claim that he is potty trained. He still wears pampers, and he can't verbalize anything at 4 months yet. If he can, I will be worried...

N'way, it all started with my mom and Rachel.... when Rachel was 1 month old, my mom will by clockwork take out the potty and patiently carry her over the potty for her to poo poo. Rachel started using the potty at 4 months as well, when she could sit up.
So, naturally, with kenneth, I did the same. From the time we left the hospital, I will read the signs of "big ones" coming, and then remove his pampers and carry him at the sink, for his big biz. I think he is so used to feeling air around his butt when he poos, he seldom poos into his pampers, unless desperate, like when I ignore him, or when we are out:)
Now, he can sit up, so I started putting him on the potty...lor...

hey, the pic on this blog is him on the potty!!!!
