Chinese New Year cookies...

Well, since we are here in Kuwait, and there's no CNY biscuits for sale, I decided to bake us some. Of course, it's not as "pro" as the ones we buy back home, but we (namely hubby) can't be that choosy!!!!

I started baking over the weekend, and have attempted 4 kinds. Will also fry some prawn crackers and maybe make another 2 kinds of cookies before this weekend!!!! Thinking of London Almond. I wonder how difficult that will be..... Also, before this, during CNY, I always think the cookies are so expensive...but now, knowing how much work you need to put in when baking, I think it's cheap!!!! Would have liked some fried arrowroots, but too bad, can't find those here in Q8. Neither can I make Kuih Kapit, as I have no moulds, and no charcoal stove!!!!

This year, CNY will just be another normal day for us, as there's no holiday (Sunday is a working/school day here in Q8. So, hubby will be at work, and Rachel at school....

Pineapple tarts...Rachel loves these

Cornflake macaroons.....Rachel likes it!!!

Schoerben, dusted with cinnamon and icing sugar...both Rachel and Kenneth love....

Peanut biscuits....i likey!!!!
