Trip to London
We just came back from London today. It was our first trip out of Edinburgh since we arrived in December 2005... Overall, it was a good experience to be out with Rachel. And Rachel got to know her aunty May and uncle Wei Keat more! BC and I have been to London loads of time, so, this trip was purely to visit May and Wei Keat and also to eat!!!! yummmy.......it's more exciting to eat in London compared to Edinburgh!
Train Ride:

Surprisingly, Rachel was considerably easy to travel with during the train rides! She slept for quite a bit (with the help of my breasts) and then, she spent the rest of the time looking out (and licking) the window! We enjoyed the time when she was sitting quietly between us, playing with a mineral water bottle. It is quite a change from her climbing and crawling around!:)
May and Wei Keat took us around to Bluewater for some shopping. We had really good meals when we were in London. It was chinese for the first night, Vietnamese for the second, and Gourmet Burgers for the third night....yummy.....we had great dim sum as well, for lunch! Though Rachel did not really let us eat in peace, it was still enjoyable. I guess everyone with a kid (or kids) will experience this.
Rachel was initially timid when she arrived at May and Wei Keat's. But soon, she warmed up to the apartment and also May and Wei Keat. It was great seeing her roam around in the apartment. The funniest thing is Rachel actually tried to get used to the carpeted floor by rubbing her legs on the floor initially....sort of testing out the surface:)
We also made a trip to Hamley's with the intention of getting Rachel toys. We were quite disappointed with Hamley's. It was not up to our expectations, I guess.
