Lack of Sleep

I have yet to bring myself to blog about the wedding saga 2….will do it soon, when I have recovered from lack of sleep!!!!

A friend who just gave birth 2 months ago, told me that her hubby has to sleep in a different room, as he’s a light sleeper, and she’s so worried that her baby will wake him up! And worse of all, she tells me that he can’t take the night duties, as she’s worried that he may not be able to go back to sleep after that!!!!!! My oh my….talk about a pretty good wife!!!!

This is my two-cents:

My dear, let me tell you that…..hubbies can be trained when it comes to overcoming their “light-sleepiness”….

Rachel is nearly 2 years old now….and we only managed to get her to STOP waking up every 3 hours (I blame this on breastfeeding), when she was 11 months old. And if I do get ONE no-waking-up night in a week, I will be so proud…..

And on the topic about not wanting to disturb our hubbies’ sleep…believe me…mine was a light sleeper as well. But NOW…..
I growl at hubby these days…and give him a “look” every time he tells me “I don’t have enough sleep”…. And this comes from the daddy who never fails to ask me in the morning: “Did the girl wake up last night?!” (with a surprise tone) or “Rachel got wake up meh?” or (in manly giggles)..“he, he…I did not hear anything…”

*rolling eyes*

So…mummies out there….DO NOT take the “I am a light sleeper” crap…..that does not really exist in the world of babies!!!!
