Language development

I communicate to Rachel solely in English. She communicates with her teachers and friends in school in English as well. Since she has stopped going to my in laws place in the afternoon, she has not developed much in her mandarin verbal communication

Rachel understands what we are saying, when we talk to each other in Cantonese. She understands what my in laws are saying when they talk to her in Mandarin. But she always replies in English.

I decided that it's high time that I start using Cantonese with her. But sadly, she forbids me to do so. Seriously....she scolds me when I speak to her in Cantonese, and she refuses to respond in Cantonese. Instead, she will just shout at me and say "NO!!!!!!!!!!"
