Cheeks pinching

I wonder why people generally feel the urge to pinch babies on their cheeks....especially well-endowed ones.... And why babies at 8 months old hate it!!

Over the weekend, in London, we had dinner at a Vietnamese restaurant called Song Que. While waiting to be seated, BC was enjoying the cool breeze outside with Rachel. At 8.30pm, Rachel was sleepy, yet trying hard to fight off the sleepiness. That's a lot of work for a baby. So, when a group of Japanese people came over to Rachel, wanting to pinch her cheeks and touch her, she was all cranky and fussy! She actually growled at one of them, and turned her face to avert the incoming pincher fingers!!! he, he....It was quite a sight to see Rachel growling, and BC trying so very hard not to snap at the Japanese lady:) You see, it's not just Rachel feeling grouchy about the pinching action. BC feels protective over Rachel's cheeks as well!!!:)

Since coming home from the short trip, Rachel has grown really sticky on me. It is fine, when BC is around, but when it's just Rachel and I, she will be clamouring all over me....I am definitely not having an easy time! Hopefully this phase will pass soon...
