Here and There....
Well, it has been some time since I last updated the kids' activities and development. Have been pretty tied up with both Rachel and Kenneth. Kenneth has already turned 10 months, and he is very attached to me. Second in line will be Rachel, then Daddy... He is growing in height, but less in weight. He is now 78cm tall but only weighs 10.04kg. He is very active, and he knows what he wants...Other than crying, he makes lots of demanding noise till we give him what he wants.
Rachel is doing good in school. She has 2 good friends now in school. Lulu, and Shiahad. Daddy sends her to school, and she takes the school bus back. So far, it's been good. She watches less telly, as she is in school for half the day. And I make it a point to take them out to the garden to walk and play in the evenings before Daddy comes home. As she has been good in school, we got her a bicycle. The weather is getting cold. So, she does not get to swim anymore. I do let Rachel and Kenneth take long baths in the tub now. They love bathing together. Rachel still pretends to wash the bathtub and toys, using a hanky. She will wipe the entire bathtub with her hanky. And now, Kenneth wants a hanky (as well) everytime they take a dip in the bathtub. And he will follow suit whatever Rachel does with the hanky.....
Here are some of the things that we have been up to....
We did a short trip to Jordan. Highlight of the trip: Petra....
Strollers cannot be used here. So, I walked 3 hours carrying Kenneth in Petra. We explored the area twice, within 2 days.... totaling to 6 hours of walking while in Petra,.....whilst carrying Kenneth!!!
On the 2nd day, Rachel cried the moment we arrived at Petra's entrance, as we made her walk for 3 hours the day before. So, to pacify her, she and daddy got a lil horse ride to the gate....which is a 20 mins walk from the entrance... I walked...carrying Kenneth:)
The first evening we were in Petra, there were not many people, as we were late. Good photo opportunities in front of the Treasury, where Indiana Jones and Transformers were filmed... The place is really worth the visit...and the walk!!!!

Some development updates on Kenneth:
Kenneth can't walk without support yet. He walks pretty fast, cruising along sofas, or pushing any furniture or toy around. Standing tall!!!!
He is very much more active and naughty compared to Rachel at this age... He finds ways to climb, fall...and he always tries to give me good "heart dropped" moments.... I am so tempted to tie Scotch Brite sponges around his head, just to break his falls....
He has no interest in his own toys. He will be after Rachel's toys, or ours. And he is always in awe with the telephone... He gets tangled up after playing with it for awhile....
Every morning, when Rachel and daddy goes to school/work, he will sit next to them near the door, while they put on their shoes. and after they leave, he will then crawl over to the window and look longingly as they leave the house.....poor boy....
He still loves watching the washing machine......and since he is tall enough now, he tries pushing the buttons after observing me doing it.
And of course, he loves to pull things down from tables...whether it's the dining table, or the study table. He is tall and strong enough to balance and pull. Any taller, and I will have to glue all our things on the table next....

Also, we attended an event organised by hubby's company in Hilton, by the beach. They had a lot of activities for the kids as well. Rachel was happy running around with some of her friends.... They brought in people to do face painting for the kids...but sadly, these guys were no good at all!!!! Rachel looked like a Chinese Opera singer after they supposedly painted her face with a butterfly motif....
Rachel playing tug of war at the event....I don't think she grasped the concept what tug of war means.... All she knew was to hold on to the string and shout....and have fun... Hubby missed this, as he was playing volleyball!!!!
