Throwing tantrums....that's what Rachel has been doing these days.....and sometimes, when I am not too irritated by it, i do find it funny. She will pretend to cry, bend her body, put both hands on her mouth, pretend that she is very traumatised.....but when I ignore her, or distract her with something else, she will just straighten up, dry-eyed like nothing happened..... cry wolf....that's what she has been doing these days.
Rachel's favourite book is Ali Baba. She loves it when her daddy reads it to her. She will mime the OPEN SESAME part whenever her daddy reaches that paragraph. "Ali Baba" seems to be 2 magic words everytime she's throwing a tantrum. It can distract her anytime!
Hubby bought a pink kiddy stool from ikea and placed it in our bathroom. It's very useful, as now, Rachel seems to not mind sitting in the bathroom....on the pink stool....while waiting for mummy to shower. I will keep her occupied with her Ali Baba, and keep on urging her to read Ali Baba to me. She will sing "bababababa.....duh pin wmo....bababababa......etc"........I only understand the baba part.....
